Big numbers
The numeral treatments (big numeral with a small unit, big date, price, stat with a delta, step and chapter numbers) arrive in batch 003. Until then this page does the part that needs no treatment: it lists the pairings whose heading figures suit display, from facts measured in the fonts themselves.
What was measured. Each heading face was loaded from Google Fonts at the weight its pairing sets, in headless Chrome, and its digits were measured. Lining: the tops of 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9 reach at least 88% of the capital height and nothing drops below the baseline (old-style figures sit at x-height and descend). Tabular by default: all ten digits have one advance width, so columns of numbers line up without asking. Tabular on request: with font-variant-numeric tabular-nums, ten 1s and ten 0s set to the same width.
